Job Title: Data Scientist

Contract: Permanent

Contracted hours: 35-40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday

Annual Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 depending on experience

Work Location: Office Based

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and a passion for data-driven decision-making. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for overseeing and a providing the whole business with accurate regular and ad-hoc reporting along with data analysis to consistently monitor and drive performance. Collaborating with all departments to provide the reporting they need to ensure they can operate as efficiently as possible to deliver excellence and high performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide regular (daily, weekly, monthly) reporting to management and develop improvements as business needs evolve.
  • Create and maintain KPI dashboards and visualisations to monitor department and business performance.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis to management based on business needs.
  • Monitor database performance and data integrity and suggest improvements to ensure all information is accurate.

Experience

  • High level of knowledge of excel, including the use of Power query and using pivot tables.
  • High level of knowledge of maintain and querying SQL databases, including creating relational databases and creating stored procedures.
  • Good level of knowledge of BI software (Tableau, PowerBI preferred) to provide dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and SAAS processes.
  • Previous experience as a data analyst/scientist preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and present data to stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to work to a high standard towards deadlines.
