Job Summary Details:
JobMatcha are recruiting for a Data Engineer – Power BI that is willing to support the strategic design and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting services, including integration with databases and data warehouses.
This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users, as well has managing incidents, problems and changes related to BI products and analysis services.
The role is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing.
Responsibilities:
Engage with the stakeholders in the business to understand report development opportunities as well as change management needs.
Ensure the maintenance of and adherence to policies and processes as may be applicable to BI related activities.
Analyse user requirements and, based on findings, design functional BI reporting.
Develop reports utilising Business Reporting Tools such as Microsoft Power BI, BIRT, SQL, DB2, TOAD, SQL SERVER
Provide operational support, maintenance and administration for the purposes of BI solutions as may be deployed across the business, to departmental and organisational standards and KPIs.
Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI reports.
Conduct job duties and responsibilities according to the organization’s business systems development methodology and/or its Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Use advanced analytical techniques to interpret data using statistical techniques and visualisation tools (Microsoft Power BI, Power Pivot, Power View, and Excel).
Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Competencies and Requirements for the position:
- Must have Right to Work in the UK
- No fewer than five years working in BI Development
- No fewer than two years in structured, managed ICT Service environments
- Experience in report development (Microsoft Power BI/ DAX/ R Script / Cognos)
