Job Description
This post is part of the University support of the NHS Data for Research and Development (R&D) programme and the implementation of a Secure Data Environment (SDE) holding linked, multi-modal NHS data. You will be working with a number of organisations on the development of data sciences approaches in the newly created Wessex SDE, part of the NHS Research Secure Data Environment Network.
You will work in a new team that will integrate clinical and research data in the Faculty of Medicine and with University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, and data from other partner organisations, by construction of a cloud-based data repository incorporating medical records and high-dimensional biomedical data. You will have responsibility for designing innovative solutions for data processing and integration, as well as applying the latest trans-disciplinary data analysis techniques to refine phenomarker signatures to improve clinical decision-making. You will manage a small team of data specialists and work closely with clinicians and researchers who access the Wessex SDE.
