Data Scientist role to work on pioneering use cases with far reaching impact!
We are seeking a Data Scientist with a strong emphasis on developing machine learning algorithms to help us optimize the intervention and control of built environment assets. This role is pivotal in reducing our climate impact and enhancing our ability to provide affordable housing through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of data science platforms, tools, and will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and visualization.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Design, implement, and maintain machine learning pipelines in Google Cloud Platform to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making and efficient control of our assets.
- Collaborate closely with the Co-founder and operational teams to pinpoint data requirements, define data and ML models, and devise scalable solutions to cater to our expanding data demands.
- Construct, oversee, and monitor data products ensuring data quality, accuracy, and availability.
- Regularly assess data infrastructure performance, pinpointing areas for enhancement and optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrable data science experience with code-based model development using Python.
- Proficient in SQL data platforms.
- Ability to articulate algorithmic solutions lucidly, employing data visualization techniques and tools to effectively showcase data patterns, outliers, and anomalies.
- Proficiency in handling both structured and unstructured data formats.
- Prior experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with deploying end-to-end machine learning models in GCP is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of ML ops principles and best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in a production environment.
- Acquaintance with Git for efficient model version management.
- Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS is beneficial.
- A proven history of managing large-scale, mission-critical data infrastructures in a live environment.
- Prior experience in retail, finance, or real-estate sectors is a bonus.
- Grasp of security protocols related to ML models, ensuring strict adherence to data privacy regulations.
BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical prowess, capable of pinpointing and rectifying intricate data infrastructure challenges.
- Skilled in collaborating with business stakeholders, data engineers, and fellow data pofessionals to comprehend requirements and facilitate the implementation of machine learning models.
- A product-centric mindset, always seeking to understand end-users and striving to enhance their experience and efficiency.
- Innately curious, always eager to delve into challenges beyond core tasks and experiment with potential solutions.
- Passionate about machine learning and be able to convey a thorough understanding of how data science can support better decision making
