Reporting to: Chief Data Officer

Working week: Monday-Friday

Salary Range: £40,000 – £50,000 per year depending on experience

About the job:

 

As the Data Analyst, you will join us as we continue to expand the functionality and grow the user base of the award winning HyperJar app. You will support the senior leadership team in assessing our performance, analysing trends and setting forecasts and developing insights to help steer the business. You will have responsibility for maintaining a high quality data pipeline to feed your work, drawing together data from different sources and adapting as inputs evolve over time.

 


About you

 

You enjoy operating in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment that celebrates getting things done. You are a highly analytical problem solver, with a background of successful project delivery, who likes to take on new and difficult challenges and quickly wrestle them to the ground.

 

You know that the success of an early-stage company requires everyone to be all-in, doing whatever is required to help the team succeed with high levels of teamwork and intensity. You love being in the office, working with and learning from your teammates.

 

You love working with data: you are a meticulous data modeler, curious business analyst and inspired data scientist. You already have strong SQL and Python skills to manage, manipulate and visualize data, and are happy to learn new packages that allow others to benefit from your output.

 

You are confident using ML toolkits to build and train models, and are willing to take the time to ensure that their data foundations are robust. You can interpret results based on a given context, and are able to support the deployment of your models into a business environment.

You are a strong communicator, quick to coalesce your thoughts and comfortable presenting them in a team or client context. You iterate quickly, learn from colleagues and contribute to a team culture that values debate but prizes action.

 


You should apply if you have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in working with large data sets (ideally including transactional / event data)
  • High level of proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, AWS), Python
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) and process automation tools (e.g. n8n)
  • Experience in predictive modelling and working with ML toolkits
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior leadership
